Immokalee Fire Chief Anderson Fired

anderson-130Paul Anderson, chief of the Immokalee Fire Control District which has responsibility for Ave Maria, was fired at a special board meeting Wednesday afternoon for violating his contract's provisions on sick leave.

Dominican Sisters to Leave Donahue Academy

The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, whose sisters have taught at the Donahue Academy since the k-12 Catholic school opened in 2007, have told the school that all its sisters will leave Ave Maria at the end of the current school year.
