Chicago Fire's Ave Maria Training Schedule Released


Soccer fans will have plenty of opportunity to see the Chicago Fire train at Ave Maria when the MLS club spends Feb. 14-25 training at North Park.

There will be two practice sessions open to the public on most days, and an exhibition match against Florida Gulf Coast University.

The following schedule is subject to change, and will be updated once any changes are known.

Monday, Feb. 14: Club arrives and will hold an open practice from 5-7 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 15: Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 16: Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 17: Open practice from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.; Game vs. FGCU at 7 p.m. (time TBD)

Friday, Feb. 18: Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 19:
Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 20: The Fire will host a soccer clinic presented by the Chicago Fire Juniors - Florida at North Collier Park from 3-5 p.m.. The interactive clinic will engage local youth in an instructional soccer session with the entire Fire team. For information regarding registration, please visit www.ChicagoFireJuniorsFlorida.com

Monday, Feb. 21: Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 22: Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 23: Exhibition game at Ft. Lauderdale against New York Red Bulls

Thursday, Feb. 24:
Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 25: Open practices from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 26:
Club departs Ave Maria and will play an exhibition game in Bradenton against the Seattle Sounders before returning to Chicago.
