Donahue Wins, Improves to 3-1

The Allan brothers continue light up the scoreboard for the Donahue Academy Shamrocks Saturday night, figuring in four touchdowns as the Shamrocks beat Hernando Christian Academy 30-12 at North Park in Ave Maria.

Dominic Allan caught three touchdown passes from his brother Elias, who also scored on a 38-yard rusing touchdown. Dominic finished the night with 163 receiving yards. Elias completed five of nine passes for 175 yards passing and was intercepted twice. Randy Beidelshies had 10 carries for 49 yards and added 3 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

Dominic Allan also added eight tackles defensively. Jake Carletta had 5 tackles and a sack and Mark Cheffers added 4.5 tackles, 1 interception a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Matt Klein had 6.5 tackles after missing a week due to strep throat and Reid Lawe had 6 tackles. Newcomer Erick Peterson had a forced fumble.

"Overall this was a very good team effort," Coach Rich Scanlon said after his team improved its record this falll to 3-1, "I am very proud of the effort that our team is showing and look forward to seeing this team continue to grow and improve."

The Shamrocks have two long road trips coming up for their next games against. Solid Rock in Tarppon Springs and Lakeside Academy in Clearwater.
