Jamon Copeland, the new AMU men's basketball coach, has signed 15 recruits to play for the Gyrenes in the coming season. He talked about the challenges of coaching to a packed Ave Maria Founders Club meeting at The Bean Tuesday night.

AMSCD July 7 Meeting Canceled

The July meeting of the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District has been canceled as there are no matters requiring the board's immediate attention. The next meeting is Tuesday, Aug. 4, at which the 2010 fiscal year budget will be presented and voted on. The Ave Herald will provide details of the budget as soon as they are available.
In Memoriam: Jerome Franz

Jerome (Jerry) E. Franz, 71, a resident of Naples, FL passed away on Monday, June 22 at Juniper Village, Wellspring Memory Care Center. He is the father of Heidi Hoyt and father in law of Eugene Hoyt, both of whom work at Ave Maria University and live in Emerson Park with their daughter, Sara, who attends Donahue Academy.
