The Ave Maria University Security department is sponsoring a workshop by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission on "Human-black bear conflict management" Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. to noon. Everyone is invited to attend.

Thie workshop will go deal with many aspects of dealing with bears, including techniques on "hazing" bears to keep them away. The first three hours will be held in the lecture hall of the AMU academic building, and the final hour of training will be a practical application outside, so comfortable clothing is advised.

Please confirm you are attending the workshop by noon on Friday.
