Summer's here, and for young swimmers in Ave Maria that means another season for the summer swim team.
Swimmers aged five and older who can swim a length of the pool at the water park freestyle and backstroke can join the team, even if they never swam competitively before. The team practices Monday-Thursday mornings at the water park between 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., and meets are held Thursday nights at the Golden Gate Aquatic Center against other Swim Florida teams.'
The season begins June 20 and goes through August 13 and costs $120 per swimmer with a family maximum of $375. Sign-ups are Monday, June 20 at the water park.
