Michigan Jury Rules in Favor of Former Ave Maria College Employee in "Whistleblower" Suit

In one of the last vestiges of Ave Maria University's roots in Michigan, a jury in Ann Arbor has ruled that Ave Maria College violated a state law aimed at protecting employees who report wrongdoings to authorities. The jury awarded the college's former director of financial aid, Kate Ernsting, more than $400,000 in lost wages and other damages.
