Ave Maria residents and students from the university, law school and Donahue Academy were among hundreds joining Bishop Frank Dewane in Naples Monday morning at a protest marking the one-year anniversary of the availability of abortions at the Naples Planned Parenthood. By some estimates, the contingent from Ave Maria was about half of all those attending. (right, part of the group - photo by marianews.com)
"It was very peaceful, very powerful, very prayerful," said Fr. Robert Tatman, pastor of the Ave Maria Quasi Parish.
Bishop Dewane celebrated Mass at 8 a.m. St. Ann's Church then proceeded to the clinic where he led prayers.
