AMU Host to Gregorian Chant Conference

Ave Maria University, along with the Florida chapter of the Church Music Association of America, is offering a two-day workshop on this ancient musical form March 19-20 at the university. According to the conference brochure, the workshop is aimed at choir members, parish music directors, music students, teachers, parents, seminarians, deacons, priests, and anyone who is interested in learning about the heritage of sacred music within the Roman Catholic Church. There will be sessions for both beginners as well as advanced musicians. All participants will have the opportunity to sing in one of the scholae that will be singing at the closing Mass of the conference.

The conference costs $40 to attend, and the deadline for registering has been extended to March 15. Accommodation is available on campus. Further information, including a registration form, is available here.
