Teresa Henderson, a homeschooled student living in the La Piazza neighborhood of Ave Maria, has been named a National Merit Scholarship finalist.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation says that nationally there are just 15,000 finalists. Half of them will receive one of the scholarship awards which will be announced in the spring and over the summer.
Teresa plans to attend Ave Maria University in the fall.
