The Donahue Academy Shamrocks, coming off an undefeated state championship season, also dominated the Florida Christian Association of Private and Parochial Schools (FCAPP) individual all-state honors for 8-man football. Donahue won a total of eight awards, the most in the school's history.
Quarterback Elias Allan was named the winner of the FCAPP Heisman Trophy recognizing the best overall player in the league. It was the quarterback's second all-state honor. He was named the league's best offensive player last season.
Team coach Rich Scanlon won coach of the year for the second time. He also took the honor in 2013.
Randy Beidelschies was named the league's offensive player of the year. Aidan Kelly, Thomas Donohue and Mark Cheffers were named to the all-state offensive team and JP Klucik to the all-state defensive squad. Klucik also was named the winner of the league's Spiritual Inspirational Award.
All winners will receive their awards at a banquet April 1 at Hillsborough Baptist School in the Tampa suburb of Seffner.
