Donahue Football Team Dominates Again

Randy Beidelschies returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and the Donahue Academy Shamrocks kept on scoring to beat Lakeside Christian 49-13 in an eight-man football game at Clearwater. it was the first time the Shamrocks had won on Lakeside's home field.
Donahue's first team offense scored on every possession, racing out to a 35-0 lead after the first quarter anda 46-6 half-time advantage. The defense also came up big with two interceptions by Daniel Beidelschies and JP Klucik.
Quarterback Elias Allan threw for one touchdown and ran for two more. JP Klucik and Uriel Martinez each rushed for touchdowns. Ken Longley scored his first touchdown on a 40-yard reception.
"This was a complete game," said Coach Rich Scanlon. "Lakeside alsways presents some run game problems for our defense and did so again Friday, but, we were able to bend and not break"
The Shamrocks have another road game next week, at Land o' Lakes against Academy at the Lakes.
Donahue is 5-0 on the season, with five games remaining on the schedule.
