The Donahue Academy and the Ave Maria Quasi Parish are jointly planning to make this St. Joseph's Day, Saturday, March 19, a special day in Ave Maria.
The pastor, Fr. Cory Mayer, who spent many years studying in Italy, will celebrate Mass in Italian at noon with a blessing of bread before Mass. Music at Mass will be performed by membersw of the Italian Opera Society.
After Mass, there will be a blessing of the St. Joseph statue, which then will be processed by Donahue students from the oratory to the school. Lunch at the school will follow, provided by Gino's Trattoria Per Tutti and Donahue families. (Pictured is a traditional St. Joseph's table in southern Italy.)
