It was billed as the "Warmest Winter Ever" event in Ave Maria, and warmth is certainly what the many kids who came felt about seeing some of their favorite characters from the Disney movie Frozen.
At least a hundred girls turned up in costume for the event, which featured a chance to meet the two central characters in the film, Elsa and Anna.
The event included games and activities in the afternoon followed by an outdoor showing of the movie Frozen.
Also feeling the warmth were many of Ave Maria's merchants, who said the event was their best day this season.
An artificial snow-making machine was a hit among many of the young princesses in attendance. So were opportunities to do the limbo and try a mechanical snowboard.
