Randy Beidelschies scored five touchdowns, including one on a return of the opening kickoff, as the Donahue Academy Shamrocks beat Spring Hill Christian 56-14. The win improved the Shamrocks' unbeaten season record to 9-0.
Anthony Altomari, who had one receiving touchdown and another on an interception return, and Mark Scheck, with his first toouchdown, accounded for the other Shamrocks trips to the end zone.
"This was a well played game offensively, defensively and special teams," said a pleased Coach Rich Scanlon following the win. "There was no sign of sluggishness from the five-hour bus trip."
The Shamrocks now have a bye week before ending the regular season with a showdown at North Park in Ave Maria Nov. 6 against powerhouse Clearwater Christian Academy, which also is undefeated and has averaged more than 60 points a game this season.
