Donahue Shamrocks Win 3rd Straight

The Donahue Academy Shamrocks notched their third consecutive win Friday night, beating Academy At The Lakes 42-24 in a football game at North Park in Ave Maria.
Elias Allan tossed four touchdowns and Mark Cheffers threw for three TDs in addiition to catching seven passes. Dominic Allan caught had a touchdown reception, one of three passes he caught for a total of 115 yards.
Reed Lawe returned an interception for a TD.
"Another great effort was given tonight," said Coach Rich Scanlon. "Despite being without two captains, the team pulled together, worked hard and overcame adversity when falling down 8-0 after the first play of the game."
The Shamrocks travel to Hernando Christian next week and return home to face Lakeside Christian from Clearwater Friday, Sept. 25.
