choraliers1The Ave Maria Choraliers will begin rehearsing Friday, Oct. 22, for their Christmas program that will be performed during the Christmas season at nursing homes in Naples.

Rehearsals will continue every Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Choraliers, which are led by Ave Maria resident Elaine Doerrfeld, performed seasonal programs at a number of Naples nursing homes last year, including their Christmas program, an Irish program on St. Patrick's Day (right) and a patriotic program for Memorial Day. Their performances  includeda sing-a-long and readings about the songs.

"It was a rewarding experience for the Choraliers to see smiles on the faces of the nursing home residents," Mrs. Doerrfeld said. "They participated and enjoyed the music very much."

Any adult can join the Choraliers and Mrs. Doerrfeld says that no formal music training is required -- just the love of singing. For more information, Mrs. Doerrfeld can be reached at 239-354-3786  or email at muusiclady @hotlmail.com.
