Matt Hudson, who was popular in Ave Maria as a state representative because of his frequent visits to the town, lost his bid to move up to the state senate Tuesday, losing to Kathleen Passidomo by a 60-40 margin. Mr. Hudson was term limited in the house. Ms. Passidomo could have served two more years in the house but chose to run for the senate when Garret Richter's seat became vacant.
