luisa-200Luisa Rosales, the energetic manager of the Ave Maria Master Association, has announced she is leaving to work full-time for her church, St. Agnes in Naples.

Ms. Rosales is one of those people who have quietly worked in Ave Maria to provide services that many town residents take for granted. She has managed the local operation of FirstService Residential, which has responsibility for the Ave Maria Master Association and the homeowners' associations of Hampton Village, Emerson Park, Avalon Park, Middlebrooke and La Piazza, beginning work for the master association in 2008.

Her responsibilities also include many of the amenities available to all residents – the water park, North Park, South Park and the fitness center. She and her staff of about 20 also represent the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District and handle landscaping of district property such the property around Ave Maria Blvd. and Pope John Paul II Blvd.

Ms. Rosales said it was a hard decision for her to leave Ave Maria. In the end, though, "I just felt a call to work for the Church," she said.

A week before announcing her decision, she was recognized by FirstService as their "MVP" of the year in the category that includes about 70 communities that the company manages.

AMSCD manager Todd Wodraska announced her departure, effective the end of February, at the meeting Tuesday of the district board, thanking her for all she has done. Board Chair Tom Peek added that he wanted the board to recognize their appreciation for all she has done.

"Your church is getting a real good worker," he said.
