One thing Florida lacks is hills, but Friday through Sunday there will be hills in the Ave Maria University ballroom -- alive with the sound of music.
The Ave Children's Theater will present three performances of the classic musical -- the last one written by the legendary Broadway team of Rodgers and Hammerstein -- Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
Thirty actors ranging in age from seven to 17 will be performing, singing such well-known songs as My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Sixteen Going on Seventeen and Climb Every Mountain. Sets have been richly painted by local artists.
Tickets for The Sound of Music are $6 in advance or $8 at the door and can be purchased at the Ave Maria Dance Academy or online by clicking here.
