On October 7th in the year 1571\, ships from the Holy League \, an alliance of Christian states\, defeated the fleet of the Ottoman Emp ire. The stunning victory was credited to the Virgin Mary\, whose interces sion had been sought. In her honor\, Pius V instituted the feast day of Ou r Lady of Victory\, now celebrated as the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
\nOn Monday\, October 8th\, at 7:30 pm\, Ambassador Michael Novak w ill deliver a public lecture and presentation on this famed sea battle and its significance. The lecture is in the Canizaro library\, and all are we lcome.

\nDr. Kilpatrick is the author of several books\, including Psychological Seduction\, Why Johnny Can't Tell Righ t From Wrong.\,He has published articles on numerous cultural\, educa tional and religious topics in a wide range of publications and is a frequ ent lecturer on college campuses\, church groups and conferences.
\nDr. Kilpatrick's latest book describes the growth of militant Islam in Eur ope and the US and challenges the claim that there is a moral equivalence between Islam and Christianity.
