 b. 9.<br /><br />Readers -- which will include AMU students\, faculty\, st
 aff and others -- will use a modern translation of Homer's work by Univers
 ity of Kansas Professor Stanley Lombardo\, who wanted the work to be under
 stood by today's audiences when it is presented orally\, as it was origina
 lly intended.<br /><br />Prof. Lombardo will read the final book of <em>Th
 e Iliad</em> himself\, beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday.<br /><br />The readin
 g will be preceded by a faculty colloquium that examines the final book at
