The Naples Faith and Wine series welcomes Sr. Teresa Benedicta who will speak on the topic of  "Mary, a Shortcut to Heaven" at the group's monthly meeting Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 625 111th Ave. North, in Naples.October is the month dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary and the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on October 7th. The feast was instituted to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in gratitude for the protection that she gives the Church in answer to the praying of the Rosary by the faithfulSr. Teresa Benedicta teaches at the Donahue Academy in Ave Maria and has been a member of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, for 12 years. She also is the host of a catechetical series, Truth in the Heart, on Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).The cost for the evening is $10/person pre-paid or $15/person at the door and includes appetizers and one glass of wine (or a non-alcoholic beverage). James Towey, Ave Maria President, on his experience with Mother Teresa; Bishop Frank Dewane, Bishop of the Diocese of Venice, on faith and marriage; Joan Driscoll Lynch, Author, on her book "Women of the Passion"; Matt Loboda and Patrick O'Sullivan, presenting "God's Gift to Women: WINE and faith, a wine-tasting event"; and Elma McCaughey, Mission Coordinator for the Diocese of Venice, on women and missionary service.\n
